Learning Mode
The mode helps to understand MW, Mol, Analysis,
Unity, LOI%, Mol% and batch calculation.
All glaze oxides are set to MW = 100.
Example Alumina Hydrate:
1 Al2O3 (65.38% Al2O3)
3 H2O (34.62% H2O)
MW 155.90, LOI 34.6%
changes to:
25% Al2O3, 75% H2O, MW 400, LOI 75%
It is now easy to verify batch calculations.
Glaze properties calculation is disabled in learning mode.
Restart the calculator to quit.

Display Unity
Display Analysis
LOI%, Loss on ignition
Loss of weight during firing.
LOI is calculated using H2O, CO2, SO3 and F data.
If known enter LOI% directly and clear
H2O, CO2, SO3 and F fields.

Cone temperature range
No glaze temperature calculation is exactly for
physical reasons. The error depends on the glaze
and may comprise several cones.
Do not use any glaze without test.

Material Quota %
The max. usable material amount depends on
the red oxide. If you want to use only 50% of the
red oxide enter 50. The remaining oxide amount
can be filled up with other material/s.

Combine K2O and Na2O
Influence of K2O and Na2O is similar.
Combining K2O and Na2O increases
the number of usable materials.

Enter estimated tolerance of your materials.
Example:
If the amount of Oxides expressed in
Mol has tolerance 10% enter 10.
The program stops calculation of oxides,
when filled up more than 90% to prevent
unnecessary extensive batches.

Alter quantity of glaze in blend
Every blend contains same parts of glaze.
Parts are quantitys of equal weight or equal volume. The
differences between blends decrease, by using
more base glaze.
Alter quantity of Kaolin and Silica in blend
The quantity of silica increases from left to right.
The amount of kaolin increases from top to bottom.
These program keys alter the initial values of blend 1
on top, left hand.
